I have wanted one of these lamps for close to twenty years and now I finally have one!! It is super stylish and functional. I put it on a table in my meditation room (ooh how fancy). Seriously I love it - the pink lamp just radiates warmth, light, and healing energy. So lovely!! I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants something special for their library, office, living room etc.
However, there is no evidence that these lamps produce meaningful amounts of negatively charged particles, or ions, or that they reduce pollutants in the air. To assess the health claims, scientists need to answer three basic questions: Does Himalayan salt contain any special ingredients that could somehow positively affect health? Do negative ions benefit health? And if they do benefit health, do these lamps produce them in any quantity? Malin said. On all three counts, there is little-to-no evidence supporting the claims, he said. https://holistichealthherbalist.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/himalayan-salt-lamp-benefits.jpg
That doesn’t mean the lamps are totally harmless. The retailer Michaels had to recall several due to shock and fire hazards in January 2017, and Kogan says it’s possible the lamp could pose problems for people who are already struggling with lung issues. “Some people with interstitial lung disease, such as pulmonary fibrosis for example, or cystic fibrosis, they may be sensitive to the salt particles themselves,” Kogan acknowledged. http://www.natural-salt-lamps.com/wp-content/uploads/5-7lbshimalayansaltlamps-200x300.jpg

This claim has existed sporadically in the scientific literature for decades, but ultimately is not supported by current science. A 2013 review of psychological effects attributed to air ions, which looked at 33 studies from 1957 to 2012 evaluating “the effects of air ionization on depression, anxiety, mood states, and subjective feelings of mental well-being”, concluded: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41-IGKXe80L.jpg

The imbalance between the demands on all of us arising from our work, family, friends and environment are taking a toll not only on our physical health but are affecting our mental and emotional health. As a result our body experiences stress and anxiety. Depending on the level and extent of stress, a number of affects can influence a person, including: http://www.norlatifah.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/cat-hugging-salt-lamp.jpg
Pink Himalayan salt rock lamps provide a soothing, therapeutic glow to any room in which they’re placed. They could be used as an integral part of an altar or simply tasteful design elements to improve any mystical and meditative space in your home. Whether you’re looking to improve the atmosphere in your home office or create a space that inspires the life you want to live, a Himalayan salt lamp could be the perfect solution.
Made of the same stuff you might sprinkle on dinner or cook a slab of salmon on, a Himalayan salt lamp consists of a large, often jagged crystal of pink salt fitted with a light bulb inside. (Please do not try to eat this lamp! Why do we have to tell you that?!) Supposedly, the heat from that bulb causes the salt to be released into the air—basically what you'd experience in a salt cave on a much less expensive scale. Think of how you feel after a day at the beach. Science aside, something magical definitely happens to your body after soaking up all that salty ocean air for an afternoon: Your skin's moisturized and clear, and the whole sleep thing? You go down like a rock after a beach day, right? It's not really that far-fetched to try and simulate this in your bedroom. https://hibiscusmooncrystalacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Capture3.png
I bought this salt lamp to help my allergies. The lamp was heavier and bigger than I expected, which I liked. The shape is really pretty and different than the typical ones I see in the stores. The only con was the bulb was missing, but I emailed the company at the address in the brochure and they shipped a new bulb to me right away. Great customer service. https://chardmayores.files.wordpress.com/2017/06/cropped-18901603_10209952595073981_1530431220_o1.jpg
It should be said that there are downsides: Sometimes a salt lamp will create a kind of condensation, but that shouldn't be a problem if you purchase one that has a protective wood stand (or set one that doesn't on a plate) to protect your table. And apparently they also make the room dustier, due to something about the "negative ions" being released attaching themselves to particles in the air and causing them to drop down. On the upside, this is what cleans the air. On the downside, well, dusting. We're so damn curious we're going to buy one and see what happens. Paired with the "seashore" setting on our sound machines, it'll basically be like sleeping at the beach.
As I just said, Himalayan salt lamps are inherently fragile. Once you own one, you definitely need to be careful not to drop it or bang it into other solid objects because the salt crystal can be damaged very easily. This is actually a rare time when durability is not desirable. If your salt lamp is unaffected by a collision, it could likely be an imposter. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41RxhFd4thL.jpg
It had started as a coping mechanism to keep my mind off of my worries — a stabbing here, a throat-slit there — but it quickly spun out of control. First it was an ugly wanted man, then a good-looking catcaller, next, a creep on the bus, then a guy who yelled at my dog, eventually some lady didn’t hold the door for me at Yogurtland. Then I woke up one day and realized I was just murdering – without cause. It got to the point that I lost count of the bodies, sometimes burying one right on top of the other while the grave was still fresh – this is the kind of thing people with anxiety go through. People would say, “Snap out of it!” or “Why can’t you just stop?” or “Fucking shit oh shit you stabbed my neck oh fucking shit shit shit” – it’s this kind of stigma that keeps people with mental illnesses from seeking treatment. http://www.originalsource.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/small_image/268x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/e/g/eggsalton.jpg
I appreciate the talents of writers to be able to express that which I myself struggle with to translate into words. One paragraph cannot begin to encompass the substance and specifics of how, when and exact dilution methods, methods of delivery, etc. Blue8Ball is spot on regarding the adverse consequences resulting from misuse of essential oils as well as the nonsense being peddled by greedy uninformed or (even worse, lacking a conscience ) entrepreneurs that excel at sales and marketing. I too, find it frustrating to arrive at the end of an article only to feel mislead by headlines. Sometimes I wonder if the authors of these articles choose the words used to catch our attention in the headlines, and if not, does the individual who does feel any sense of responsibility for integrity? https://topbest.review/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/CrystalDecorNaturalHimalayanSaltLamp-e1494868900150.jpg
